A recent BrokerCheck report discloses that Marcus Troup (CRD #6193783) experienced an Employment Separation After Allegations from a previous employer,
. Troup's employment history includes the following firms and periods:
Troup's BrokerCheck describes the allegations as follows: "RR failed to report Outside Business Activity (OBA) violating Firm policy/procedure and regulatory requirement. RR was also in violation of Firm policy/procedures regarding Electronic Communications and was found to have maintained an independent website that was declined for use by FFS Compliance Department when submitted for approval. RR failed to follow proper protocols for reporting his social networking sites and subscribing with the Firm's electronic communications vendor prior to engaging in business related social networking. Records indicate that RR was texting outside of the Firm's monitoring and supervision systems."
While Troup had no customer complaints reported on his/her BrokerCheck report at the time of the reported separation, employment separation after allegations is a concerning disclosure in the securities brokerage industry.
